Michael E. Holzapfel

In The News

Michael E. Holzapfel is an associate in the Firm’s litigation and automotive dealership law practice areas.

He has extensive experience in the representation of automobile dealerships in New Jersey, including the defense of consumer complaints brought under the Federal Truth and Lending Act and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act as well as the defense of class action claims against dealerships. In addition, Mr. Holzapfel advises automobile dealerships on matters of compliance in regard to state and federal laws.

Prior to joining Becker Meisel, Mr. Holzapfel served as the judicial clerk to the Honorable Lawrence M. Lawson, Assignment Judge of Monmouth County, where he was involved with complex municipal land use and redevelopment cases in that vicinage.

Mr. Holzapfel is an active member of the Monmouth County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bar Association as well as the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers (NJ CAR). Mr. Holzapfel often contributes articles to legal and business trade publications, including an article he co-authored entitled "Court Curtails Forum Shopping," which appeared in the New Jersey Law Journal in February 2008.
