Attorney Stacey Meisel, a founding partner of the law firm Becker Meisel LLC of Livingston,has been selected as a member of NJBIZ's “Class of 2005 Forty Under 40.” NJBIZ gives the award to outstanding New Jersey business leaders under the age of 40, "who have take non decision-making roles at an earlier than usual stage in their lives."

A member of the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania Bars, Meisel co founded Becker Meisel with Ben Becker at the age of 29.Now with 17 lawyers on staff, the firm practices in the areas of bankruptcy, land development and real estate finance, construction law, civil litigation, health insurance litigation, auto-motive and corporate law as well as labor and employment law .Meisel has specialized in bankruptcy law for 11 years. In 1997, she became the youngest person to be appointed by the U.S. Department of Justice to the New Jersey Chapter 7 Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees. In this capacity, she administers approximately 80 to 100 cases a month.
