Corporate Law
Corporate law is a core practice area of Becker Meisel. The Firm has a strong background in corporate counseling and transactional work. Our corporate attorneys approach issues from the standpoint of a business person as well as a lawyer and believe that their role is to facilitate deals – not get in the way of them. They are as adept at identifying practical solutions to business problems as they are at finding creative answers.
The Firm provides a broad range of services to corporate clients in connection with: the organization and structuring of business entities; general business counseling; mergers and acquisitions; purchase and sale of both manufacturing and service assets; financing transactions; labor issues; and the restructuring or reorganization of businesses.
Our attorneys often serve as general counsel to emerging and established companies. In this role, our attorneys liaise with corporate officers to ensure that all of the client's legal needs are being addressed. As general counsel, our attorneys often make recommendations and oversee the work of other outside counsel in matters outside of the Firm's areas of expertise. Our clients find that this gives them the freedom to focus upon core business matters.
