Start-Up Launches First Product Sustainable Youth™ Elastifirm™, A Nutri-Cosmetic Supplement Featuring the Immune-Stimulating Benefits of the Organic Scientific Discovery, Alasta™
NEW YORK, N.Y., June 24, 2008 – Sustainable Youth Technologies may have found the sought-after fountain of youth. Based in Manhattan, this two-year-old company develops organic nutricosmetic and cosmeceutical products based on the immune-stimulating benefits of patented Aloeride™ and patent pending, AloeEx, which are extracts derived from the aloe plant. The firm is now launching its first product, Sustainable Youth™ Elastifirm™ Supplement with their proprietary complex, Alasta™, which is clinically proven to help improve skin elasticity and firmness.
"Health conscious consumers interested in a more holistic approach to beauty from the inside out are driving the growth of the nutricosmetic industry," said Denise DeBaun, president and chief executive officer of Sustainable Youth Technologies. Nutricosmetics, a growing trend, are broadly defined as oral supplements aimed at improving the health and appearance of skin and/or hair. The global nutricosmetic industry has an estimated market value of $1.5 billion.
DeBaun has been at the helm of the privately held Sustainable Youth Technologies since its inception in August 2006, leading the company through the merger and acquisition of A/H Market Concepts, Inc., a Nevada corporation. The merger, which took place on July 11, 2007, allowed Sustainable Youth Technologies to acquire ground-breaking formulas and products by securing certain patents, licenses and other intellectual property held by A/H Market Concepts, Inc.
"By restructuring, Sustainable Youth Technologies is poised to become a competitive player in the rapidly expanding nutricosmetic market," explained Martin Borosko, Esq., managing member of the law firm Becker Meisel LLC of Livingston, N.J. Becker Meisel counseled the company in connection with the merger as well as the licensing of technology. In addition, the Firm assisted with fund-raising efforts for Sustainable Youth Technologies.
Founded in 1998, Becker Meisel represents a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from publicly-traded companies to family-run businesses and individuals. As part of its corporate law practice area, the Firm provides comprehensive legal services to corporate clients including counseling in regard to mergers and acquisitions and the restructuring and reorganization of businesses as with Sustainable Youth Technologies. The Firm’s corporate law attorneys also serve as general counsel to emerging and established companies.
